Natural Stone Office Bar Sink

Granite Sinks

Granite sinks come in all shapes and sizes. As this site developes, there will be a variety of different designs and colours displayed here.  First, we will show some vessel sinks. One thing that must be taken into consideration when designing a custom granite sink is the weight factor. This is why vessel sinks are very popular for a renovation type of application or an interior design change. In the following example you will see how the installer strengthened the existing counter to support the granite sink.

Bar Sink

In this application, a granite sink was designed to replace a stainless steel bar sink. Shown in this picture, we can see the granite sink resting over the stainless steel sink. At this point, the installer determined what kind of extra support was needed and the client requested that the sink be recessed into the counter.

To install, the larger slate tiles around the stainless steel sink were removed. An aluminum support was added and the granite sink was installed. At this point it was determined where the faucet  would be located. Once the sink and faucet were secured a smaller tile was placed around the sink then grouted.
